Name: Sharon Vineyard
Sharon Vineyard is a fictional character in the anime and manga series Case Closed.
Sharon was once a famous actress, just like Vivian Kudo (Yukiko Kudo). But her past is still shrouded with mysteries. It is not known how she became young again (Chris Vineyard) but many fans have agreed that she might had taken the 'original' version of the APTX 4869, first created by Shiho Miyano's father.
Her talents include cloak-and-dagger and the ability to receive whatever she wants. And now as Chris Vineyard a.k.a. Vermouth (Belmot (�٥��å�, Berumotto?)in Japanese), her main objective is to eliminate Shiho Miyano a.k.a. Sherry (Ai Haibara). But as the plot unfolds, it turns out that she might have a plan or two of her own.
Manga: When she was sent to eliminate Shiho Miyano, she didn't actually succeed as she was met by Conan Edogawa and he was able to discover her plan. She also encountered the FBI during this process. Vermouth has great interest in Conan and calls him, "Silver Bullet" and it is mentioned by Gin, that there is no such thing as Silver Bullet which can destroy them all.
Vermouth is protective of Ran and Shinichi/Conan for Ran has saved Vermouth once unknowingly in the Golden Apple case, and Shinichi because he is the son of her long-time friend Yukiko. This is apparent in the Bus Hijack case (as stated by Jodie, Vermouth did not do anything to Ai because Conan was present too), the Ai Kidnap case (Vermouth refused to harm Ran, who was protecting Ai), and the Kir case, where Vermouth tries to persuade Gin not to kill Kogoro and Conan.
